Daily Schedule (Sunday-Thursday)

Seder Yom (Order of the Day) for a Regular Day at Camp

7:45am                  Boker Tov!

The Unit Heads go to every cabin to wish them a good morning.

8:00am                  Rosh Toranut (counsellors on serving duty) go to Chadar Ochel

Madrichim Ha-Yom (counsellors leading Mifkad) go the Old Sports Field

8:15am                  Cabin Toranim go to Chadar Ochel

Morning Mifkad (Flagpole).

We gather in the Old Sports Field in the shape of a chet for Mifkad to make announcements, celebrate milestones, hear the latest Shmeryl and present the “Hebrew word of the Day”. We sing O Canada, the Young Judaean pledge and raise the flags.

8:30am                  Breakfast

The Chadar Ochel (dining hall) accommodates everyone in camp at the same sitting. We sing the Anachnu blessing before each meal and the Birkat HaMazon after.

9:00am                  Daytime Prep

Campers change their clothes, brush their teeth, apply sunscreen, put on a hat and fill their water bottle.  No camper (or counsellor) should leave the cabin without completing this checklist.

9:30am-10:15am              Period 1

Campers enjoy individualized schedules that allow them choose from over 15 different chugim, along with swim and boating activities each day.

10:15am-10:30am            Activity Rotation/Change time for Anafim (Seniors Campers)

10:30am-11:15am            Period 2

11:15am-11:20am            Activity Rotation

11:20am-12:05pm            Period 3

12:00pm                Rosh Toranut go to Chadar Ochel

12:15pm                Cabin Toranim go to Chadar Ochel

12:30pm                Lunch

1:10pm-1:30pm    Nikayon (Cabin Clean-Up)

Campers take turns with alternating daily tidying responsibilities.  Mail (on weekdays) and Tuck (on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays) are distributed upon completion of the clean-up

1:30pm-2:45pm    Menucha (Rest Period)

Time for campers to hang out, write letters, listen to music, eat tuck,  or play sports!

2:45pm-3:30pm    Period 4

3:30pm-3:45pm    Snack/Activity Rotation

3:45pm-4:30pm    Period 5

4:30pm-4:35pm    Activity Rotation

4:35pm-5:20pm    Period 6

5:20pm-6:00pm    Free Period

Campers have time to pursue their own interests such as intramural sports, play rehearsal, and Free For Alls. Many campers also shower during this time.

We gather again in the Old Sports Field to make announcements, celebrate milestones, hear the latest Shmeryl and present the “Hebrew word of the Day”. Evening programs are promoted to the respective units. The camp sings Hatikvah and lowers the flags.

7:00-7:45               Golden Hour

Free time between Dinner and Evening Program. Staff leading evening programs should use this time to set up. Many campers use this time to shower. SFL Games will be played here on certain days.

7:45pm-8:45pm    Evening Program

As a unit or the whole camp community, campers will participate in a variety of programs led by their counsellors. Unit programs begin at different times according to the age group of the unit.

8:45pm-9:15pm    Nighttime Prep

After program, campers head back to their cabin for a snack, then wash up, brush teeth, and get ready for bed.

9:15pm                  Lights Out

After lights out, counsellors will be with their cabin to ensure everyone is settled and spend some quiet time checking in with their campers.
